Dr. John Seybert holds a Ph.D. in Music Education from Indiana University and has extensive experience directing jazz ensembles, coaching improvisers, and teaching applied jazz concepts at both the high school and collegiate levels.
His background includes work as a director of bands, adjudicator, clinician, researcher, and curriculum leader bringing a thoughtful, comprehensive understanding of how improvisation, theory, and performance work together to build strong musicians.
